Chihuahua is one of the cutest and the most adorable dog breeds. These dogs are real friends, who are very devoted to their owners. They are also smart and don’t attract the attention because of their aggressive behaviour. The dogs love kids and willingly play with them. Even though, they are quite small, their character is formed from the first months of their life. As a result, they are physically and psychologically formed by the age of 12 months.

The height of Chihuahua ranges from 15 and up to 23 cm. The ideal weight of the dog constitutes 1.5-3 kilos. Depending upon these parameters, Chihuahua dogs are subdivided into 4 groups, namely standard, small, mini and super-mini. These dogs generally live longer that big ones and their lifespan ranges between 11 and 18 years old.

One of the most interesting characteristics of Chihuahua is their ability to understand people and their intentions. They feel the emotions of their owners as well as those of other people. They won’t even approach a person, who is irritated, angry or mean. Due to nice adaptability of these dogs, they easily get used to new circumstances. If you have made up your mind to purchase a Chihuahua puppy, you should know that it’s quite hard to raise the dogs because of their dignified character. Experts recommend the owners of these dogs to start raising them when they reach the age of 2 or 3 months. You may also create a website free of cost to share the progress over the web. This process is quite complicated and takes time and effort. The owner should be patient and pay much attention to the dog, playing with it and taking it for a walk quite often.

All the Chihuahua dogs are very curious. They try to explore all the corners and hidden places in their dwelling and they like to watch the actions of their owners. The dogs are active and they like to play a lot. Whatever emotions they have, they express them loudly. Regardless of their small size, Chihuahua are brave, but some of them may suffer a lot from stressful situations and negligence of their owners.
